Police not told about Qasab's mom's visit

Although the entire nation knows that Mohammad Ajmal Amir Qasab's mother is coming to the city to meet her son, the Mumbai police is in the dark about this development. They have not been officially informed about her visit.

According to a senior officer from the Crime Branch, they heard about the news on television and read it in the papers. "Neither have we got any information on her visit nor have we been told by the state and central ministries," said the official. Yesterday, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee told the media, "Qasab's mother is coming down to Mumbai to meet her son."

Qasab is the lone surviving terrorist of the 26/11 terror attacks. Meanwhile, there were rumours today morning of Qasab's mother landing at the Mumbai airport at 8. 30 am.
